The History of Kalispell Auto Group

Kalispell Auto Group: A Legacy of Growth and Community Commitment
Kalispell Auto Group began with a simple yet determined vision from Gerrid Gandrud, who has been in the automotive industry since high school. In 2007, after years of experience in both Green Bay and Bozeman, he brought that vision to Northwest Montana by purchasing Glacier Toyota. Over the years, Glacier Toyota evolved into Kalispell Toyota-Scion, located off the U.S. 93 Bypass, becoming a cornerstone of automotive sales and service in the Flathead Valley. For years, the Toyota store has been rated the top dealer in the Flathead Valley, whether you need service or are looking for a new vehicle to take home.
In 2015, Gerrid expanded the group’s reach by purchasing Whitefish Ford Volkswagen from DePratu Ford Center. The dealerships were soon rebranded to Kalispell Ford and Kalispell Volkswagen, unifying the group under one mission: top-tier customer care and local service.
By 2017, Kalispell Ford moved into a cutting-edge, 50,000-square-foot facility at 2000 Rose Crossing, bringing modern efficiency and expanded services to the area. Kalispell Volkswagen continued to serve customers from its Evergreen location, maintaining its reputation for performance, reliability, and European craftsmanship.
Now, Kalispell Auto Group is taking another bold step forward with the construction of a new Kalispell Toyota facility, positioned right next to Kalispell Ford, creating a full-service automotive campus for the community.
Rooted in decades of hard work and driven by a commitment to excellence, Kalispell Auto Group remains dedicated to supporting the people of Northwest Montana, both as customers and as team members. With a deep investment in local partnerships, employee development, and quality vehicles, Kalispell Auto Group stands as a symbol of growth, trust, and community.
